  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Add sliced beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with oil. Stir-fry marinated beef until browned (3-4 minutes), then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and stir-fry broccoli until bright green but still crunchy (about 2 minutes).
  4. Return beef to the skillet with garlic and ginger. Stir well and add any remaining marinade.
  5. Pour in leftover marinade; cook for another 2 minutes until thickened. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
