Description

Turkey Rachel Sandwiches are a delightful twist on the classic Reuben, combining tender turkey, zesty sauerkraut, and rich Swiss cheese, all nestled between buttery rye bread. This flavor-packed sandwich is not only quick to prepare but also perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners at home. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch and savory goodness that will leave you craving more.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz freshly sliced turkey breast
  • ½ cup drained sauerkraut
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices marbled rye bread
  • ¼ cup Russian dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients: turkey breast, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, rye bread, Russian dressing, and butter.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
  3. On unbuttered sides of two slices of bread, layer turkey slices, drained sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Top with remaining bread slices (buttered side out).
  4. Grill sandwiches in the skillet until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes), then flip to cook the other side until crispy and cheese is melted.
  5. Allow to cool for a moment before slicing and enjoy!
