  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup high-quality honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Place the chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a touch of oil.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve it) and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  6. Pour reserved marinade into the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking to thicken and glaze the chicken.
