- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean but moist.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
