  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (or BBQ sauce)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Boil salted water; add elbow macaroni and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. In another bowl, blend cheddar cheese with milk until creamy.
  5. Layer half the meat mixture in the baking dish, followed by half the macaroni and cheese sauce. Repeat layers.
  6. Spread ketchup or BBQ sauce on top and bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
