  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup of your favorite jam (raspberry, strawberry, or fig)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar; stir well.
  2. Add warm milk and melted butter; mix until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and press it into a greased baking pan; create indentations with your fingers.
  6. Fill each indentation with dollops of jam and allow to rise again for 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown; cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
