  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup good-quality Irish whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook each breast for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  4. Pour in the whiskey, scraping up any browned bits from the pan; simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, soy sauce, and smoked paprika; stir well.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan and let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve hot with fresh parsley sprinkled on top.
