  • 1 (5 lb) Prime Rib Roast
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Beef Broth

Instructions

  1. Remove the prime rib roast from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper to form a paste.
  3. Generously rub the herb mixture all over the roast.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  5. Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  7. Let the roast rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
