Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm milk until hot but not boiling. Dissolve yeast and 1 tbsp sugar in the warm milk; let sit until bubbly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Create a well in the center; add yeast mixture, softened butter, and eggs. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon, then scatter blueberries.
  6. Roll tightly from one long edge; slice into 12 equal pieces using dental floss or a sharp knife.
  7. Arrange rolls in greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Whisk powdered sugar with vanilla extract and milk to create glaze; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
