  • 4 firm apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nuts, and vanilla.
  4. Stuff each apple generously with the mixture.
