  • 2 tbsp (30g) mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tbsp (5g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew two shots of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling; froth using a milk frother or whisk.
  4. Pour hot espresso over the mascarpone mixture in your favorite mug and stir gently.
  5. Spoon frothed milk over the espresso mixture, allowing it to layer on top.
  6. Dust cocoa powder on top and add whipped cream if desired.
