Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp cold water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced flank steak in a bowl with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry until the broccoli is vibrant green and tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix remaining soy sauce, brown sugar, and dissolved cornstarch. Pour into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Drizzle with additional sesame oil before serving over steamed rice or noodles.
