  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream (divided)
  • 1 cup Sour Cherries (canned or frozen, drained)
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar (divided)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the crust on a baking sheet.
  2. For the cherry layer, heat cherries with half the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until syrupy (5-7 minutes).
  3. Melt the chocolate by combining chocolate chips with ¼ cup heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
  4. Whip remaining heavy cream until soft peaks form; gradually add remaining sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  5. Layer half of whipped cream into the crust, pour cherry mixture on top, add melted chocolate, and finish with remaining whipped cream.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
