- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Break up any clumps.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until onions are soft (about 3-5 minutes).
- Stir in sliced zucchini, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook until zucchini is slightly tender.
- Pour in tomato sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half the beef-zucchini mix, half the cheese, then repeat layers.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
