  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 cup fresh cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties about one inch thick.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the patties on both sides until browned (4-5 minutes each side). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until browned (about 5 minutes). Stir in flour and gradually add beef broth.
  5. Return patties to the skillet, simmer gently until cooked through (about 10 minutes).
